I started my career as a financial advisor in 2000 — the same year the market crashed and stayed down for three years. I was only 24, helping retirees who’d just lost a big part of their savings. Even though I hadn’t picked those investments, I felt their fear and frustration. That’s when I learned something important: most people don’t want risk — they want safety
